“The life of letting go is the life of freedom, the life of nonattachment.” –Zoketsu Norman Fischer

There are so many things in life to think about—people, places, things; jobs to do, places to go, all of the stuff on the news—it can be frightening, stressful, nerve wracking.  But to practice nonattachment is to know that each event will pass; it’s all temporary, and that none of it is good or bad, it just is.  If I listen to my heart or to the still small voice; that is what is real.

Nature seems to await our comprehension of her and, since she is governed by immutable laws—the ignorance of which excuses no man from their effects—the bondage of humanity must be a result of our ignorance of the true nature of Reality.  –Ernest Holmes

I am in touch with nature because I am part of nature just as the trees, the flowers, the water, the air and the animals are part of nature.  I am an integral part of it all.

It is evident that the movement back of the objective world must be a subjective movement—a movement of consciousness.  –Ernest Holmes

I experience movement as I go on and do the next thing and then the next thing.  I move forward in my life, on my path.  I also find the time to practice being still and to practice listening.  This makes my movement much easier.

I always have an abundance of money and an abundance of whatever it takes to make life happy and opulent.  There is a continuous movement toward me of supply, of money, of all that I need to express the fullest life, happiness and action.  –Ernest Holmes

Money, money, money---I love money!  I attract more money all the time.  I like to have money so I can live comfortably, pay the bills and buy fun things.  I always have enough because the Universe always provides everything I need.  I give money out and money returns to me.  I am abundant with money!

Within reasonable limits; avoiding excesses or extremes; temperate or restrained

There is so much to experience in life that I must learn to make wise choices.  I choose to enjoy everything that contributes to my health and happiness.  If I find myself indulging in any one thing to an extreme then I need to step back and find the activities that will give me balance.
I practice taking the middle of the road and do everything in moderation.

To the average person, when a result is obtained by this method of work, it looks as though a miracle has happened, but such is not the case.  It is only a miracle as everything else in life is a miracle.  A definite, conscious idea has been set in motion in the Subjective World which accepts ideas at their own valuation and tends to act upon them.—Ernest Holmes

All of Life is a miracle.  It’s a miracle when some unexpected wonderful thing happens and everyone says,” Wow!”  It’s a miracle that we are here on earth and we are alive and breathing.  There are nothing but miracles!

We must instill into the mind the fundamental proposition that good is without bounds.  Only good and loving-kindness shall “follow me all the days of my life.” (Psalms 23)—Ernest Holmes

My individual mind is part of the greater Universal mind.  All beings are part of this greater mind.  I can draw on this larger Intelligence anytime by becoming quiet and listening.

From selfish reasons alone, if from no loftier reason, we cannot afford to find fault, to hate, or even to hold in mind anything against any living soul!  The God of love cannot hear the prayer of the one who fails to love.  In our meditation for friendship let us make our unity with all people, with all life.—Ernest Holmes

My meditation today is looking for the good in what already is right now.   I let go of the outside world and I listen; I find my grounding and I know that Life is unfolding perfectly.

The one who wishes to work out his problems, must daily take the time to meditate and mentally treat the condition, no matter what the apparent contradictions may be.  –Ernest Holmes

As I become quiet and meditate every day, I come into the present moment.  I become clearer about what is important and what is not.  I see that most of what I have been seeking and grasping for is not important and not really real.  Practicing the presence in the NOW is the BIG REALITY, and it’s all I ever need.

We know, by intuition, that there is something beyond what we have so far consciously experienced in the world.  Poets have sung of it and there are moments in the lives of all, when the veil seems thin between and we almost enter into the heavenly estate.  This is the meaning of coming to one’s self.  We are still in the awakening state; we have not yet consciously entered the state of perfect wholeness.  –Ernest Holmes

I don’t always know the meaning of everything that happens in my life or in the world, but I can create meaning for myself by blessing everything and everyone and realizing that everything and everyone is a blessing.  This is true meaning, and it’s a solution for everything.
