The Universal Mind contains all Knowledge. It is the potential ultimate of all things. To It, all things are possible. To us, as much is possible as we can conceive, according to law. Should all the wisdom of the universe be poured over us, we should yet receive only that which we are ready to understand. Ernest Holmes

There are infinite possibilities in this Universe; anything can happen. That is the nature of Life itself. I am surrounded by possibilities; everywhere I look I see possibilities. There is something that is perfect for me because I am a unique expression of Life and I have been given the power of choice. I can choose to focus on what I want rather than what I do not want. I can choose to believe in the possibility of my own choice of dreams. I can listen to my heart and choose what really feels right.

The year before last we had some beautiful rainbows. This is one of them as seen from the balcony of my condo. I love when the clouds are dark and the sun shines from another part of the sky, giving everything a magical glow.

"Image Tulip"

Today, I had some visitors from out of town who stopped by my studio and who were so interested in my art and who liked my art and I got to show them my art quilts--lots of my art quilts and they still wanted to see more--they did not get bored at all. They were happy to look at the pieces and listen to me go on about it all. What a blessing it is to have such an audience and to be appreciated so unconditionally for 90 minutes!

Chicks with Pink Border

Today, I went to Kaiser to order my new lenses for my glasses, so while my new lenses are being installed in my frames, I am wearing old glasses, which do not allow me to see quite as well! Oh, Well! I love the bright pink border on this drawing!

Mountain Full of Images

Here we are with a mountain full of images in Autumn colors with a free gray butterfly and a free gray dove of love above the mountain. Today was the first day of summer, and I had a pleasant visit with my children, Ian and Bridget.

Baby Colors

In this drawing, I thought I would try some pastel colors. The design could be made into a very soft quilt. Tonight, I just came home from an appointment with my chiropractor, so I am feeling very relaxed and a bit drowsy--I think I'll go to bed early. Maybe I'll imagine being snuggled up in a sweet quilt such as this and I'll sleep like a baby!

Inspiration Cards

I am working on a deck of 52 "Inspiration Cards". 38'x12". I have just finished painting the words on the small quilt tops. I was thrilled to see them up on the wall with all of the colorful panels and the positive, inspirational words. I am working on short essays about the meaning of each word to include on the back of the card. I will be selling each quilt one by one, or, perhaps some lucky collector will want to purchase the entire set of fifty-two! I am looking forward to seeing them all done and published into a beautiful deck of cards. I intend to make them into a slide show that will be forwarded around the world on email.

Painted Filing Cabinets

Hi, everyone,

This is a picture of my painted filing cabinets. I love the painted surface with its color and pattern so much more than I love plain tan, so every chance I get I paint!

Pink Bricks

Larry and I took a Photo Shop class for 12 sessions at the Senior Center at the park just up the street from our house. We just finished last week. I really enjoyed all of the different things I learned, like making collages from several photos. I'll need to study the book to remember how to do it again, though. On the left is a photo that Larry took of part of the side of our house; it's used bricks, but he adjusted the colors to look pinkish.

Grandma and Grandma McMahan

Hi, everyone,

This is my mom and dad. They met at a funeral parlor--my Grandpa McMahan had passed away--that was my dad's dad. My mom was a good friend with my dad's sister so that is how my mom ended up at the event. So the rest is history! I hope you are having a great week!

Bridget's Quilt

Hi, everyone,

This is my daughter, Bridget. She made a quilt about her life and I helped her. That was last year. Here she is sitting at my sewing machine in my studio before Larry and I moved into our new house. Bridget and I are going to spend the day together in a couple of weeks. she wants me to go sewing machine shopping with her. I am glad that she wants to sew!

Many years ago, I had a therapist named Larry and this was his license plate. He wanted you to be FOR yourself! When he passed away, I was pleased to inherit this important message from him and now I am passing it on to you.

"All Kinds Cheese"

Hi, everyone,

This is an old photo of me and my sister, Bernadette when we were small. People used to ask if we were twins because our mom dressed us alike, but I am two years older. Our dad had a little cheese shop for the summer in Wisconsin Dells. He sold "all kinds cheese". Notice the neon sign above that says "cheese" and you can see the bottom half of the map of Wisconsin. Our sun suits were light blue with red buttons. I'm the one on the left.

Try Coloring!

Hi, everyone,

This is one of the drawings I made as an idea for an art quilt. It could also be made into a painting. I use a fine line Sharpie pen for the black outline drawing and then I use color marker pens to paint in the shapes. I love the coloring part--it is very relaxing. I highly recommend coloring pictures to relax into the right side of the brain and into the present moment. It gets you into your creativity!

"May Flower #6", 19"x22", 2007, $995

"May Flower #6" Loving yourself is allowing yourself to express yourself naturally and honestly and to use nonviolent communication to let others know how you are feeling. This gives you the inner freedom to enjoy life to its fullest.
Larry and I returned from the mountains this afternoon--wow! it is so beautiful there--I always come back much more relaxed. Mr. Button, (our cat) was very glad to see us. I sat with him and brushed him for a while--he liked that! Love and Blessings, Therese
